meet our speaker
We’re pleased to welcome Charles Duhigg as our speaker. In his new book, Supercommunicators, Charles blends deep research and his trademark storytelling skills to show how we can identify and leverage the hidden layers that lurk beneath every conversation.
At Leadership Labs, Duhigg will share how to recognize that whenever we speak, we’re actually participating in one of three conversations: practical (What’s this really about?), emotional (How do we feel?), and social (Who are we?). He will show how, with the right tools, we can connect with anyone.
Charles Duhigg is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The Power of Habit and Smarter Faster Better. He is a staff writer at The New Yorker and was previously a reporter at the New York Times where he won a Pulitzer Prize for explanatory reporting in 2013. A native of New Mexico, he studied history at Yale and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has appeared on This American Life, NPR, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, and Frontline. He lives in Santa Cruz, California.
